On this page you will find one-off projects that are specifically tailored to enhance the feature of a particular room, make the best use of a space available, or to provide more light. They are all custom designed and are the sole work of Accolade carpentry.

This old redundant bread oven was removed and replaced with a purpose made fish tank, incorporating all the facilities required to service the tank within the cabinet.

Here we can see a window frame removed and French doors fitted. This alteration lets more light into the room and really enhances the overall appearance.
Custom Fit Surround sound System and Flat Screen.

		A great way to fit your flat screen into a room . In this example the TV has been set into the wall, with inset speaker for surround sound under it.  Below a unit fitted with glass shelves and a door. All electrical appliances neatly tucked away eliminating all those unsightly wires that are usually on show.

	An arched architrave has been fitted around the brick built alcove, with a cupboard constructed in oak below. The same features have been used as in the unit for the TV appliances.

Custom made under stair cupboard.
	This staircase which originally was just open underneath now has a sizable cupboard fitted. The skirting board was fitted to run over the door, which when closed blends in perfectly. This project has created a large usable storage cupboard, very useful for all those items you just don't know where to put! As many houses have electric meters under the stairs, this cupboard also provides security from those curious little hands.

As you can see from this picture taken before work commences, quite a large storage area can be gained from utilising this under stair opening. Working in conjunction with the clients requirements, this project incorporates four draws, tailor made to fit neatly into the available opening. A door hung either side of the draw unit, completes the transformation and utilisation of this under stair opening.  The stain/varnish was matched as near as possible to the original finish used on the stair case.

Custom made bookcases

This pair of custom made bookcases were made specifically to meet the customers requirements. They were produced to fit neatly with scribing pieces running up each side providing a perfect fit into their alcoves.
	Adjustable shelves were fitted into the top half of these units, with a pair of doors to the lower half, opening to reveal another shelf and a small draw.  The lower panel is removable to provide the required access to power points. Access is also provided to bring the required cables up from the lower concealed power points onto to the units, making it possible to sit a telephone or stereo unit onto the units lower shelf. Both units were custom built and assembled on site. Colour and finish provided to clients requirements.
Custom built lead lined cupboard
	This unit was purpose built with a lead lining to provided protection from the items stored within. Built from 18mm fiber board, with piano hinges holding the doors in place, it is finished with three coats clear varnish.
