Accolade carpentry specialize
in the fitting and maintenance of 60 and 30 minute fire doors, and fire
exit doors.
This work, which was completed at a local
hospital, involved the replacement of a pair of fire exit doors. These
doors were of a none standard size and custom made to fit the opening.
Fitted with internal panic bars, overhead door closers, and each leaf hung
on three hinges, they were glazed and painted to match the existing fire
doors.

Accolade Carpentry provide a service to
maintain and service fire doors in public buildings. The service consists
of a preliminary twenty point check. This check is assessing the
performance of the fire door, to provide the effective 60 or 30 minute
barrier as required.
Items include structural integrity. Highly used doors in public
buildings suffer from a great deal of surface damage.
As you can see from the picture, this door's glazing beads have
been destroyed and require replacement. |

Here we have the new glazing beads installed,
once again providing the sufficient fire barrier required.
As well as structural integrity, wear and tear has to be monitored.
Accolade carpentry will check all ironmongery.
Locks latches, over head closers, hinges, panic bars, fire smoke seals
and signage all come within the twenty point check.
All work required is then priced and submitted for approval.
